1. Quarters – 4 Shot Glasses will be lined up one behind the other. The closest shot glass will be worth one point, second two points, third worth three points and the furthest shot glass four points. Each player will go ten times and then rotate. The quarter must hit the table behind the line and then bounce forward into one of the shot glasses. This event will be done three times in each round. Highest score wins.
2. Darts – A 6-inning game of baseball. Everything counts. Throw one inning and then the next person in your group throws that inning. After everyone in your group has shot the first inning then the entire group shoots the second inning and so on. Highest score wins. One game of baseball in each round.
3. Pong – 10 Cups placed on a high table in bowling pin fashion. You will get 10 ping pong balls to see how many you can make. It can go in off the wall. Each time a cup is sunk remove the cup from the tabel. Each player will go ten times and then rotate. Highest number of cups made wins. We will do this event twice in each round and add up your score from both times.
4. Mega Basketball Game – See how many shots you can hit on the mega video basketball game. The game is three sets of :30 seconds. Just hit the basketball player with your finger and shoot away. Highest score wins. We will do this event once in each round.
5. Wii Bowling - You will play one five frame game of wii bowling. The same person will bowl all five frames and then the next person in the group will bowl. If you spare or strike in the fifth frame you will have to keep bowling until you get a final score in the fifth frame. Again, we will only record your score through five frames. We will do this event once in each round.
Rounds:
We will be playing two rounds. There will be anywhere from four to eight people in each group, depending on the number of participants. Groups will rotate around from event to event including a possible bye station. Groups will rotate in the following manner:
A. Quarters B. Darts C. Bowling D. Bye E. Basketball F. Pong
After the first round we will have take a short break for some food, add up the scoring from the first round, and then play the second and final round. The total Olympics will take approximately four hours depending on how many people sign up.
Scoring:
The scoring will be done as follows:
Take darts for example and assume that 25 people enter the Olympics.
The highest score in baseball is a 35 – that person gets 1pt.
The second highest score is 32 – that person gets 2pts.
The lowest score is 4 – that person gets 25pts.
If two people tie for the first and second highest score –they each get 1.5 pts.
Scoring Cont.:
Your goal is to get the lowest number of points possible. We will do the above for each of the five events. Then after the food break we will do the same thing again for the second round.
